Located on Avenida de Mayo, just two blocks from Av. 9 de Julio, our hostel is strategically located to explore downtown Buenos Aires. From Milhouse you can walk to the city's landmarks, such as the Obelisco, the Bicentennial Museum, Plaza de Mayo or the National Congress, and our Reception team is always available to show you how to get to these tourist attractions or take you on a walking tour!
You have these 4 options:
1) Bus #8 to Hipolito Yrigoyen 800. Although it is the cheapest option, it takes about 2 hours.
2) The Manuel Tienda León door to door transfer, whose stand is in the Arrivals Hall. It costs approx. USD 15 per person.
3) For a faster, safer and more reliable trip, we recommend the private taxi agency Greeters BA. Their services can be booked online at: http://www.greetersba.com/booking.php. This way, you will have a driver waiting for you at the airport with a sign with your name and the Milhouse Hostel logo. The price is approx. USD 40 and you pay the driver directly.
4) Taxi (make sure you take an official taxi within the airport premises, identified with the Radio Taxi sign).

On the day of your arrival the driver will welcome you in the ARRIVAL HALL with a sign with YOUR NAME + MILHOUSE HOSTEL LOGO. The price of the transfer is approximately 20-30 USD (per car, not per person), and is paid directly to them in cash, it takes approximately 40 minutes.
2) You can also take a regular transfer from the company Manuel Tienda León, it takes 1 hour and it is best to book it in advance by phone at 011 4314-3636, as it is not very frequent. The transfer arrives at Puerto Madero station (Avenida Eduardo Madero 401), from there one block down Avenida Corrientes you can take the underground line B at Alem station to Uruguay station and walk 5 blocks to Avenida de Mayo.
3) Finally, the cheapest way to get there is by public transport, the San Martin train right in front of the airport to Retiro Station –the last station– and from Retiro take the underground line C towards Constitución, to Avenida de Mayo station, from there walk two blocks, it takes about 1 hour.

ATTRACTIONS NEAR THE HOSTEL
Two blocks from our hostel, you’ll find the widest avenue in the world. Named after Argentina’s Independence Day, this is one of the most impressive sites in Buenos Aires, lined with cafes, restaurants and numerous shops. It also integrates landmarks such as the Teatro Colon –South America’s premier opera house– and the statue of Don Quixote.
The Obelisco of Buenos Aires was built to commemorate the founding of the city. This monument is almost 70 metres high and is a popular meeting point in the historic heart of Buenos Aires.
The eastern part of Avenida de Mayo leads to Plaza de Mayo, the oldest square in Buenos Aires. Here you will find the Casa Rosada, the seat of the National Presidency.
This elegant Italian-style building, with its impressive pink façade, witnessed numerous historic events. It was from its famous balcony that Eva and Juan Domingo Perón gathered their followers. Just 5 blocks from our hostel, this is a place to immerse yourself in architectural beauty and national history.
The original City Hall of Buenos Aires, built during the Spanish occupation, with its white colonial façade, stands at one end of the Plaza de Mayo. Of great importance during the Revolution in 1810, this historic building with its beautiful bell tower now houses a small and captivating museum commemorating the period of the May Revolution.
Located at the western end of Avenida de Mayo, opposite Plaza de Mayo, the Congreso de la Nación Argentina is a large Greco-Roman style building built in the early 20th century. This impressive building, with its dome lit up at night, bears some resemblance to the Capitol in Washington.
The Palacio del Congreso Nacional Argentino is conveniently located just 10 minutes walk from the hostel.
